GETTING THE MOST FROM RFAA

You have just joined Roswell Fine Arts Alliance because you’ve heard what an active fun organization it is.  You only know one or two members and you have no idea about entering shows or selling at venues.  What to do?

Here’s a list with hints and tips of how to find out anything you want to know:
Attend our regular meetings:  3rd Tuesday in the month at 9100 Fouts Road. Most meetings have a guest speaker who will demo or talk about interesting art topics.  No meetings in June (Member Luncheon), August (New Members’ Brunch) and December (Holiday Party)

Go to our websitewww.RFAA.org  You’ll find information about every aspect of the club with our current Newsletter, photos, Forms for shows and venues, locations of events and most important a current CALENDAR.  HINT:  In a hurry?  Scroll down to the bottom of any page to find the SITE MAP which lists topics alphabetically.  Click on what you need.

Sign up to attend Open Gallery – you’ll get to know other artists and spend 3 hours painting and sharing ideas with members.  You’d be amazed at the friendships that have formed while gallery sitting.  “Oh, I had no idea you were born in the same town as I was.”   AND as a bonus, gallery sitting makes you eligible for a free Guerrilla Workshop.  Three hours of free instruction taught by our knowledgeable members and offered once each quarter.   http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f054bafab2ca3f85-gallery

Use our Facebook page:  The absolutely most up to the minute info. on activities, shows, receptions, venue change outs – it’s all here. https://www.facebook.com/groups/roswellfinearts/

Volunteer:  Because we have no paid staff, we rely on our members to help out with writing blogs, doing publicity, hanging shows, chairing venues, bringing food for events and numerous other jobs.  Most don’t take much time and all are done by busy people like you.  What better way to get to know your fellow members.  Watch for calls for volunteers in our newsletter.

Read Our Newsletter:  Chock full of information, venue news, activities and events, shows and photos, don’t miss a page of our bi-monthly newsletter.  It will be emailed when published and posted on our website.  http://www.rfaa.org/PDF/Articulation-January-February2018.pdf

Ask a Board Member:  Our hardworking board members are happy to answer your questions or direct you to a source who can.  Don’t be shy.  We love to help our members enjoy and learn from being a part of this vibrant group.  See the contact list at the end of each Newsletter.
